Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne has praised her son Jack for helping to catch a handbag thief in London last month.

The reality TV star was walking along London's Marylebone High Street on September 27 when he saw the man attempting to steal a woman's bag.

He chased after the robber and wrestled him to the ground, before handing the assailant over to police.

The 22-year-old has played down his part in the rescue incident - but proud mom Sharon has hailed him as a hero.

She says, "This guy is running down the street so Jack - Super Jack - comes running after him. He tackled the guy, got him down on the ground and then called the cops."
