Gay actor T.R. Knight has donated $50,000 to a campaign to keep gay marriage legal in California.

The Grey's Anatomy star gave the cash to the anti-Proposition 8 campaign which helps activists oppose a high-level state vote to ban same-sex marriages. Knight is the latest celebrity to donate to the cause; Brad Pitt, Pete Wentz and Steven Spielberg have all pledged money to the campaign.

The donations come days after organizers of the movement accused Hollywood stars of not doing enough for the cause.
