The Girls NextAs the fifth season of "Girls Next Door" premieres, we learn that the whole gang is going once again to Las Vegas for Hef's 82nd birthday celebration. Not too surprising, considering the newly constructed Playboy Club has been frequented often by Hef and the girls since it opened. At first glance, this might seem like a traditional party, but Holly, Bridget and Kendra always find some way to spice up any event.

Bridget is always finding something new to do, and this episode is no exception. She starts out the episode by talking about her recent adventure in trapeze training. A phone call into Tom, the head coach for Cirque de Soleil's "O" production, gives Bridget the chance to train with the professional team in Vegas. While Bridget seems excited about the opportunity, she gets nervous when Tom tells her that people do indeed fall.

The Girls Next DoorWe've been told time and time again that Hef is the most difficult person to shop for because he owns everything. Yet, the girls seem to find something creative and somewhat meaningful for every occasion. For his 82nd birthday, the girls found Madame Chocolat, a chocolate shop where they can make anything - and they mean anything - out of chocolate. This apparently includes any body part, of which Holly, Bridget and Kendra take full advantage. The whole process is documented, including plastering the body parts, letting it set, pulling the plaster off and setting the chocolate in the very authentic looking parts.

After leaving the shop, we find Hef, the girls and all their Playmate friends in Las Vegas. Bridget is dropped off to practice with the Cirque de Soleil team while everyone else heads to the Palms to get ready. We are re-introduced to Kayla Collins; one might remember her from last season when she auditioned for Playmate and did not make it. She had just turned 21 and was invited to celebrate Vegas style. After all the primping is done, the gang goes to the Bellagio to see Bridget's performance, where she and the rest of the team put on an entertaining show.

An episode in Las Vegas would not be complete without special guest George Maloof, the owner of the Palms Hotel and Casino. While celebrating at Club Moon in the Palms, George presents Hef with a special birthday gift that will permanently stand in the club - a table that says "Hef's Place" with a picture collage surrounding it. This wasn't the only present waiting for Hef though. Back in Hef's suite, another special guest is waiting with a surprise. Walking back into the suite, Hef is greeted by a very lively Pam Anderson, complete with birthday cake in her birthday suit.

Back at the Mansion, everyone gathers around the dining room table to give Hef more gifts. Along with Holly, Bridget, Kendra, the Playmates, Pam Anderson, Hef's brother Keith and various other guests, Hef's son Cooper also joins the party. This is the first time we see Cooper in an episode of the show and it is a somewhat emotional moment for him and Hef. Cooper brings out a birthday cake for Hef and they share "I love you's." It's at this time the three girls also present their chocolate gifts to Hef. While everyone gets a laugh out of the gifts, Holly gets a bit embarrassed of the fact that hers looks so similar to the real thing.

Unfortunately, this series does not show previews for the next week, so we can only wonder… What crazy adventure will Holly, Bridget and Kendra come up with next?
