MetallicaMetallica are continuing their reign over Europe— their new LP Death Magnetic has held on to the top spot in the albums chart for a third consecutive week. The rockers hold off competition from Coldplay's Viva La Vida or Death and all his Friends, which sits at two, while Duffy's Rockferry disc remains at three.

The Kings of Leon score a new entry at four with Only By The Night, while The Pussycat Dolls' Doll Domination debuts at eight.

Meanwhile, the singles chart top three remains unchanged; Katy Perry holds on to number one with "I Kissed A Girl," while Madcon's "Beggin'" and The Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up" are at two and three respectively.
