Pop star Lance Bass signed up for TV dance contest Dancing With The Stars to prove to his family and friends he really could boogie - after he was dubbed 'N Sync's worst mover and shaker.
Bass is among the favorites to win the new season of the hit show, which debuted last week, but he's keen to point out he's not the natural many critics think he is. The singer admits he struggled with 'N Sync's dance routines and he was ridiculed by his former bandmates.
He says, "I was the worst dancer, I can admit it."
Pal Joey Fatone has already showed up to support his former bandmate and Bass hopes the other members of 'N Sync will make an appearance backstage at the show as his run continues.
He adds, "Joey came the first night and I'm pretty sure the rest of the guys will pop in sooner rather than later."
Actor Ted McGinley and comic Jeff Ross have already been voted off the show and Bass' professional partner, Lacey Schwimmer, admits she has her work cut out with the gay icon.
She explains, "I have to keep him going the entire time; he's kind of like a kindergartener, so I have to teach him like that. He has the attention span of a two-year-old, but a cute two-year-old."
