Playing a doctor on TV show House has convinced actor Jesse Spencer he could take up the profession for real.

The Australian actor also comes from a family of doctors - he has two surgeon brothers and a medical student sister. However he admits his amateur medical antics frustrate his real doctor during surgery visits.

Spencer tells the New York Post, "I kind of like the blood, guts and gore. I love it when they draw my blood. I think I know what I'm talking about, so I'll try to offer my own opinion. But my doctors just say, 'Uh, no come on Jesse, you're an actor.'"
