Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is facing police questioning after allegedly assaulting a female dancer at a London event on Thursday night.
The Rehab star, 25, is accused of punching Sherene Flash in the face at the Prince's Trust End of Summer Ball bash, where Winehouse gave a shambolic performance of her hits. Police were called to the $1,295 -a-ticket ball to investigate the incident, but Winehouse had fled the scene before she could be questioned. Cops took a statement from Flash, and are expected to speak to Winehouse this weekend, where she could be taken into custody.
According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, Winehouse is alleged to have attacked Flash after she asked to have a photo taken with the star. A source says, "Sherene asked Amy if she could take a photo. Amy was OK at first, but when Sherene asked if a friend could get in the shot, Amy lashed out." Another insider adds, "She was getting distressed. There was a lot of grabbing and flashbulbs were going off. She was startled."
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police has issued a statement about the incident, saying: "We were called at around 12.30am after a report of an alleged incident where a woman assaulted another woman. The alleged assailant left the scene. There are no arrests at this time."
Winehouse sparked fresh fears for her health after taking to the stage at the End of Summer Ball looking frail and intoxicated. At one point, she dragged her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield, 12 - who had entertained the crowd with a string of Motown hits earlier in the evening - off the stage as tears streamed down her face.
And the drama only escalated as Winehouse left the charity event - her bodyguard is also reported to have hit the night's official photographer with his car as they tried to make their exit. Police are also said to be investigating that incident after receiving a complaint.

Describing a tour as "reunion" or "comeback" is painfully overused these days. Many bands never leave, but are just not heard from for long stretches of time.
