Devoted Chicago Cubs fan John Cusack is refusing to miss his beloved baseball team in the play-offs - even if it means not showing up for work on the days they play.

The High Fidelity star is booked to make a new movie throughout October but he's told producers they'll have to work around the Cubs' schedule.

He says, "I told the producers, 'I'm going to the Cubs' play-off games so I can't be on the set those dates.' Either they'll reschedule or I'll be AWOL (absent without leave)."
