Comedian Chris Kattan has been slapped with divorce papers from his estranged wife Sunshine Tutt; just weeks after his publicist insisted they had "no plans for divorce".

The pair wed during an intimate ceremony in Yosemite Valley, California on June 28th, after a three-year courtship. But they split just eight weeks into their marriage - with Kattan, 37, filing for legal separation.

However, model Tutt, 31, has now taken the proceedings one step further - by requesting dissolution of the marriage, reports website TMZ.com. In legal papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, Tutt cites "irreconcilable differences" for the break-up.

At the time of their split in August, a spokesperson for Kattan said the pair is "separated for the moment", but has "no plans for divorce at this time".
