The Police and Beyonce Knowles are the highest paid musicians in the world, amassing fortunes of $115 million and $80 million respectively in the past 12 months.

The rockers - whose final reunion tour shows brought in $28.3 million alone - topped the new Forbes magazine poll to find the World's Best Paid Music Stars.

Other wealthy stars to make the top 10 include Justin Timberlake $44 million, Madonna $40 million and reformed rockers Genesis $31 million.
