Ashley Judd and Julia Ormond have teamed up to expose America's shameful underage sex trade in a powerful new documentary. The actresses have spent months researching the U.S.'s dirty little secret and are now speaking out in an effort to put an end to the sick crime.
Ormond says, "We live in a world where you don't necessarily know what's going on next door... It's the fastest growing crime on the planet."
The shocking documentary, "Call & Response," suggests the sex slave industry made $32 billion last year, and 2.2 million children are sold into sex slavery every year.
Judd admits she was utterly dumbfounded when she was faced with the statistics and she's now determined to make a difference: "Each and every one of us has an obligation to stop it... Human trafficking has to exist out in the open so that the demand can access the supply."
The hard-hitting film is released in cinemas in October.
