David Gilmour Silences Pink Floyd Reunion Rumors
The Another Brick in the Wall band have been offered vast sums of money to reform, after their brief comeback at 2005's Live 8 charity concert in London. However, Gilmour insists he has moved on and would prefer to concentrate on his solo material.
He says, "(Live 8 was) excellent, really enjoyable. (But) the rehearsals were less enjoyable. The rehearsals convinced me it wasn't something I wanted to be doing a lot of. There have been all sorts of farewell moments in people's lives and careers which they have then rescinded, but I think I can fairly categorically say that there won't be a tour or an album again that I take part in."
And the guitar ace insists his decision is nothing to do with his long-term rift with former band mate Roger Waters, adding, "It isn't to do with animosity or anything like that. It's just that I've done that. I've been there, I've done it".
