Actor Channing Tatum has proposed to his Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan during a surprise party in Maui.

The 28 year old arranged for friends to be on the Hawaiian island to see him pop the question to Dewan, who was linked to Justin Timberlake in 2002. The couple has been dating since they met on the set of the 2006 dance film. No details about a future wedding have been disclosed.

The engagement caps a great summer for the actor - he won a Teen Choice Award last month for his role in Stop-Loss.
