Coldplay will be supported by Welsh soul star Duffy on the North America leg of their current tour. The British rockers have been playing to sell out crowds across America - and Duffy is keen to appear on the same stage.

She will open five of the band's tour dates during October and November - at gigs in Ohio, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Washington DC and Pennsylvania.

The Violet Hill hitmakers kicked off their American tour in July and are due to finish in November before heading back to the U.K. to tour in December.
