For the first time ever, a transgender contestant will compete on "America's Next Top Model," according to Usmagazine.com.

Isis, one of 14 model wannabees in the new season, is from Prince George's County, Maryland. She identifies herself as "a woman born physically male."

According to GLAAD president Neil Giuliano, this is an "an unprecedented opportunity for a community that is underrepresented on television.

"America's Next Top Model" returns to The CW on September 3.
