Annie Lennox was forced to pull out of the International Aids Conference after injuring her back.

The singer is in Mexico for the five day conference, but was unable to attend its last day after her back "went into a spasm".

She says, "I'm gutted of course because I was totally primed up to attend the media event but at this point in time I'm actually having difficulty getting out of bed."
