Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has slammed fans of rival British rockers Radiohead and Coldplay - branding them "boring and ugly".

The outspoken singer revealed he is cleaning up his act in preparation for his band's forthcoming world tour, which kicks off in the U.S. later this month.

And although Gallagher is trying to calm down his hard-partying ways, he insists he isn't quite as mellow as his more reserved peers.

He tells Britain's The Times newspaper, "I've mellowed, but not in the sense of liking Radiohead or Coldplay. I don't hate them. I don't wish they had accidents.

"I think their fans are boring and ugly and they don't look like they're having a good time."
