Mr. T Mr. T has denied a recently pulled advert for a candy bar was homophobic - insisting he didn't mean to offend people.

The actor - real name Laurence Tureaud - shoots Snickers bars at a speed walker in the `Get Some Nuts' commercial, before yelling, "You are a disgrace to the man race. It's time to run like a real man."

The advert was subsequently axed from British TV screens last month after upsetting gay groups.

But The A-Team star denies the advert was homophobic.

He says, "I am not homophobic. I'm not a gay basher. I didn't say anything that was negative, derogatory or malicious.

"I would never do a commercial if I thought it was going to offend anyone."
