Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher have completed a stint in Central America - building houses for a charity project.

The Indecent Proposal star and her partner spent a week digging and moving piles of bricks to improve conditions for residents in poverty-stricken areas of Guatemala. The couple's charity work in the area comes after Moore's daughter Scout spent several weeks working on the project earlier this year.

A source tells British newspaper the Mail on Sunday, "They were working in Guatemala for a charity that helps indigenous organic farmers. Demi and Ashton were actually building houses with tin roofs and schlepping (moving) breeze blocks in the midday sun. Ashton's father is a carpenter so he has some experience."
