BjorkOrganizers have been forced to scrap an English music festival after headline act Bjork decided to drop out. The Icelandic pop star had been due to play at the Wild In The Country Festival today, but she canceled the gig citing "unprofessionalism" on the part of festival chiefs.

And now the entire event has been canceled, amid rumors that other bands scheduled to play dropped out after hearing how Bjork would no longer be performing.

A spokesman for the festival has issued a statement apologizing for the move, and promising fans a full refund, saying, "Unfortunately, Wild in the Country has become the latest in a series of festivals that have suffered from a unique and well-documented set of market forces this summer. We did everything possible to make the event happen and would like to apologize to all those who have purchased tickets, and for the inconvenience this cancellation may have caused."
