Ben Kingsley Blames Movie Bosses For Troubled Young Stars
The Oscar-winner insists that producers often build up young stars, only for them to be knocked down by the critics and the public for their poor performances. And Kingsley is convinced that these failed thespians often turn to the Hollywood party scene and lose their grip on reality.
He says, "It's unfair to exploit a young person and say they can be in movies, then they make it happen for them when they can't do it. You're lifting their expectations so high and then pulling the rug when the audience gives them a collective thumbs down."
"We throw people away too easily, but we should never invite them in the first place. There's no need to resort to drugs."
