Country star Shawn Colvin is giving fans the chance to get to know her better - she is set to write a tell-all memoir.

The Grammy-winning singer will release the book, A Few Small Repairs, in the U.S. in autumn next year in a deal with publishers HarperCollins.

A representative for the company says, "In concert Shawn is known for engaging the audience and interweaving dialogue ranging from the very personal to the truly hilarious, so the book will be a natural extension for her."
