An overzealous Cher fan was arrested on Wednesday for harassing the superstar during a night out in Nashville, Tennessee. The 62-year-old legend had stopped by a local hotspot in the early hours with her bodyguard, when 36-year-old Calvin Hutton Houghland began to harass her.

According to police reports, Houghland first only attempted to speak to the star, but after growing anxious for her attention, reached out to grab her hip.

Officers proceeded to kick an intoxicated Houghland out of The World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge, telling him to leave the area.

Houghland was subsequently arrested after returning to the club and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after failing a field sobriety test.

He is currently being held in jail on $3,000 bond, reports local radio station WKRN.
