Mike MyersMike Myers has spoken out about Kanye West's controversial outburst during a Hurricane Katrina telethon - insisting he was completely justified to blast U.S. president George W. Bush on live TV.

The Austin Powers comedian was standing beside West for an appearance on the TV fundraiser A Concert for Hurricane Relief in September 2005. And Myers looked visibly shocked when West attacked Bush for failing to provide adequate aid for the victims of the New Orleans, Louisiana disaster, blurting out, "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

However, Myers claims he isn't bitter about the embarrassing moment and can now look back and laugh at the incident. He tells Moviefone.com, "I went to the Katrina telethon because I was very moved by the plight of the people in New Orleans and I wanted to make a difference. I think that the frustration that Kanye expressed was valid."

He jokes, "I just think you gotta tell a feller you're gonna say it. Just tell a feller, would ya?"
