Helen Mirren has finally come face to face with Britain's royal leader The Queen two years after she won an Oscar for playing her on film.

The Academy Award winner Mirren was forced to turn down an invitation to visit with Queen Elizabeth II following her Best Actress award triumph, because of work commitments.

However the pair met and chatted in the Royal Box at the Ascot race meeting in England on Thursday.
