AlabamaCountry supergroup Alabama are suing their former drummer for the cash they overpaid him on their 2003 farewell tour.

Bandmates Randy Owen, Jeff Cook and Teddy Gentry claim Mark Herndon, who spent 25 years as the band's drummer for hire, owes them $200,000. Ironically, Herndon recently asked his former bandmates for a $65,000 advance on sales from a live album Alabama recorded during the 2003 farewell tour, according to the Globe.

The Alabama trio reportedly reacted to his request by suing him for the $200,000 advance he got prior to the 2003 tour. A source close to Herndon tells the Globe that the drummer is prepared to come forward with details that will ruin the Country Music Hall of Fame band's legacy if Owen, Cook and Gentry insist on taking their lawsuit further.

The insider says, "Mark kept his mouth shut tight when they were rocked by alleged extramarital affairs... and bad business deals. If they go ahead with this, he's going to let them have it."
