Country star Billy Ray Cyrus insists his teen star daughter Miley will continue on the path to stardom despite her recent controversies - because it's the nature of Hollywood.

The father/daughter duo, who star on Disney's Hannah Montana, have turned the 15-year-old into a money-making machine - and the Hannah Montana star will be worth as much as $1 billion by her 18th birthday, according to publisher Conde Nast.

And despite outrage from family groups and parents prompted by Miley's controversial photo shoot for Vanity Fair magazine - where she appeared topless, wrapped in just a satin bedsheet earlier this year - her father insists the harsh criticism is expected along with any major success.

The "Achy Breaky Heart" hitmaker also adds he's not afraid by his daughter's marketability because she is happy with her burgeoning career despite recent hiccups.

He says, "For every action, there's an opposite and equal reaction and for every high, there's a low. That's just the way life is. She has a dream. She loves what she does for a living. (Miley) loves acting and she loves making music. And she gets the best of both worlds with this job."
