N.E.R.D. Almost Late, But Still Wows At Isle of Wight Festival

N.E.R.D.Hip-hop trio N.E.R.D. almost missed their slot at the U.K.'s Isle of Wight Festival on Friday - because the group's management had no idea where the island was.

The Rockstar hitmakers, fronted by producer extraordinaire Pharrell Williams, were due to play a set at the festival on Friday night - but panic set in when their U.S. management team realized that morning that they were miles away from where they were supposed to be.

A festival source tells Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The Isle of Wight promoter got a call in the morning asking where the hell 'this island' was. They thought it was somewhere off Scotland."

The band finally made it to the island - located off the south coast of England - and got the crowd on their feet with the thumping basslines of songs like Everyone Nose and She Wants To Move.

But the highlight of the set was a surprise sample of The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army - with Williams rapping over the guitar riffs of the song.
