Chris Martin Twists Knee, Puts Coldplay Tour Into Jeopardy
The frontman was left hobbling in pain after injuring his leg in practice sessions for the band's eagerly anticipated first performance in London on Monday.
And it is feared the injury will further postpone the group's forthcoming world tour, which has already been pushed back due to unspecified "production delays".
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Chris has been in absolute agony with his knee.
"He's had to strap it and has been hobbling around the place. He doesn't want to cancel the show so is going to fight through the pain barrier."
Earlier this month, it was announced the rockers' North American trek would be delayed by two weeks. The tour was scheduled to kick off on June 29, but will now start in Los Angeles on July 14.
