Mark Wahlberg is nursing a sore thumb after his young daughter attacked him during a game of tennis. The Boogie Nights star has been forced to promote his new film The Happening sporting a special hand strap to protect his sore digit.

And he revealed to the hosts of NBC's The Today Show that four-and-a-half year old Ella-Rae is the culprit.

Wahlberg explains, "She whacked me. We were playing tennis. She was thrilled."
