Troubled actress Tatum O'Neal has turned to her ex-husband, former tennis star John McEnroe, for support following her drug arrest.

The former child star was busted by New York police in a raid on Sunday night, after she was caught buying cocaine from a man just three blocks from her family home. The 44-year-old has been charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor offence, and has enrolled herself in a local Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) therapy group in a bid to remain sober.

And she reveals she has been in touch with McEnroe, the father of her three children, and with whom she split acrimoniously in 1992. She tells the New York Daily News, "He's been supportive."
