Lynda Carter Discovers A Dead Body
The former TV star was out rowing on the Potomac River on Wednesday when she spotted the body of a woman floating face down in the water. Carter immediately dialed 911 and called police to the scene.
Police believe the dead woman was a hiker who may have slipped and fallen into the river and are appealing for help in discovering her identity. She is described as around 40 years old and wearing a white jacket, shorts and a t-shirt.
Washington D.C. fire and emergency services spokesperson Scott Kane says, "A middle-aged woman was found floating in the water about a quarter mile north of Three Sisters Island. She was found by a canoer. The canoer flagged down some boats and they called Fire and EMS."
