Paul McCartneyPaul McCartney has invited fans to an online dinner party - and is offering an exclusive song to anyone who donates money to charity. The former Beatle will host the virtual bash, entitled Night of a Thousand Dinners, to celebrate World Environment Day and raise funds for the Adopt-a-Minefield campaign, of which he is an ambassador.

He is asking fans for a minimum donation of $25 if they want to download his new song "Lifelong Passion (Sail Away)."

McCartney says, "The Night of a Thousand Dinners is not only a great way to raise money for a just cause, it's also a good way for friends and family to have fun together. With the growing concerns about world hunger, it should be a priority to clear arable land of landmines so that communities can once again grow their own food."

The virtual dinner party takes place on Thursday on his official website, www.paulmccartney.com.
