WeezerSince the release of their first album in 1994, alt-rock band Weezer has managed to stay relevant and influence countless bands for almost 15 years. Established in 1992 in Los Angeles, current Weezer members include front man Rivers Cuomo, guitarist Brian Bell, bassist Scott Shriner and drummer Patrick Wilson.

Weezer is releasing "The Red Album" (review) on June 3. The addition of "The Red Album" makes Weezer's collection of self-titled albums a trio, joining 1994's "The Blue Album," and 2001's "The Green Album." Unlike past albums, all band members have a part in lead vocals and songwriting on "The Red Album." The video for "Pork and Beans," the first single off of the new album, pays tribute to YouTube viral favorites and has garnered significant Internet attention in the past week.

In conjunction with the release of their new album, Weezer is taking over MTV the week of June 2 as the "52 Bands/52 Weeks" featured band. Eleven hours of Weezer video clips will be integrated into MTV programming the entire week. Clips can also be viewed on MTV.com, and are available for preview below.

Weezer on-air promotions can be seen on MTV all throughout the week of June 2 on-MTV or on MTV.com.
