Gay actor T.R. Knight has ruled out marrying his boyfriend - because they are happy as live-in partners.

The Grey's Anatomy star, 35, has been dating beau Mark Cornelsen, 19, since earlier this year. However Knight insists he is not in a rush to walk up the aisle after California state authorities lifted the ban on same-sex marriage last month.

He tells Usmagazine.com, "Mark just moved here from San Francisco. To clarify, we are not having a commitment ceremony and I am not performing a commitment ceremony." But Knight says the recent legalization of gay marriage gave him an "extraordinary feeling."

He adds, "Once you are given something that you were never allowed before, you realize how much of a second class person you were before. That is horrible and fantastic at the same time. It makes me want to sob and scream with joy all at the same time."
