Juicy Booty Whitney Wins 'America's Next Top Model'

WhitneyHooray for full-figured women! Whitney Thompson made history last night by becoming the first "plus-sized" contestant to win the coveted title of "America's Next Top Model."

Often compared to a Miss America contestant by judge Paulina Porizkova, Whitney went in to the final challenge fully expecting to lose to her more "high fashion" competition Anya Kop. She mentioned her doubts to a stylist, and he said it was the farthest any "juicy booty" had ever gone in the competition.

And what about poor Anya? She seemed like a shoo-in since the beginning of the competition, winning challenges and judges' hearts along the way. Even her slightly bumpy nose made her unique. Whitney landed in the bottom two how many times? Four? But Anya never did. Her photos dominated the competition. But was she fierce enough?

The final runway challenge was the deciding factor. Anya may look great in pictures, but Whitney dominated the catwalk with her confident strides and swinging hips. She owned it. Anya simply didn't.

Perhaps the judges felt it was time to mix it up a bit and give the "full-figured" model a time to shine. Was she really better than Anya overall? And do the judges have equal say about who wins? It didn't appear that they were all rallying behind Whitney.

Tyra Banks pointed out that Anya and Whitney had very different strengths. And unfortunately, Anya will probably disappear into obscurity like so many other "Top Model" wannabes.

At least Fatima didn't win.
