Actor Michael J. Fox insists he's "lucky" to have avoided clinical depression as he battles Parkinson's Disease.

Marking the 10th anniversary of the public statement about his illness, the Back To The Future star appeared on the TV show Access Hollywood on Monday, revealing he's grateful for his optimistic nature, which has helped him overcome lows that are related to Parkinson's Disease sufferers.

He says, "A lot of people with Parkinson's have clinical depression and it's difficult for them to deal with what they're dealing with, plus to have the added baggage of depression... I haven't had that issue. I've been able to stay involved in life and I think that keeps me feeling good."
