Throughout the month of May and leading up to the 2008 MTV Movie Awards live on Sunday, June 1st, TRL (Total Request Live) will air a series of four movie specials, featuring some of the world's hottest big screen stars and granting viewers a sneak peek at some of this years most anticipated films.
In each episode, the audience will be filled with fans who were privileged enough to view an exclusive screening of an upcoming must see flick. Hot on the heels of those private screenings, those same fans will interact with the day's celebrities and some will get the opportunity to ask informed questions and hopefully get some telling answers related to the film!
Featured movie specials include:
- (aired Thursday, May 1)
- airing Thursday, May 8th
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
– airing Thursday, May 15th
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
– airing Tuesday, May 20th
In addition to intimate fan forums where fans (in studio and via webcam) get to ask scene-specific questions, MTV News will also provide their own original content:
-The 101 features hardcore fans at Comic Con (an annual multi-genre convention that celebrates world of pop culture) and elsewhere offering their thoughts on the featured film of the day.
-The Loop allows fans to say what absolutely must make it into the final cut of the movie. Each segment will also include stars on the red carpet revealing whether or not that fan will be happy with the end result.
-What You Got? explores props from the day's featured film.
-Pleased to Meet… introduces viewers to various newcomers, like Ben Barnes
and Leslie Bibb
from Iron Man
