Seth MacFarlane Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has signed a $100 million deal with 20th Century Fox, in a move which will make him the highest-paid writer-producer in television.

The agreement will see MacFarlane stay at the company until 2012, covering his work on cartoon Family Guy and his two other animated series with Fox - American Dad and Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show.

The deal is also reported to include new projects related to the TV series as well as gaining MacFarlane a cut of DVD and merchandising revenue. If the $100 million reports are true, MacFarlane's contract will eclipse the deal struck by Lost Creator J.J. Abrams with Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros TV in 2006 for a reported $60 million.
