Addison is back on Grey's Anatomy! When your show goes on hiatus it is always good that you can return home. She shows up under the guise of needing to perform a surgery and everyone tells her that she's back, which she keeps denying. Hahn and Callie are hanging out big time with morning yoga, and Christina seems a bit more annoyed than usual. Meanwhile, Meredith has her first clinical trial going on so she doesn't care about anyone else, which is pretty much normal Meredith but with a direction in her life.

Addison has a slightly awkward reunion with the MerDer duo and refers to them as a happy couple because she has moved on. She apparently doesn't keep up on her gossip. Mark asks Addison for sex during their first three seconds together; he needs more screen time.

Izzie got stuck with interns and she's not happy about it, especially when she find out they're all hung over from a party George threw. Meredith's interns (which include George) get to meet her patient, who is the tumor guy from last week. He has become quite inappropriate in his interactions, which is kind of funny and sad at the same time.

Guess who else is back? Eva! She's got a bun in the oven, and Alex's response is to ask her if she's having an abortion. I don't like Alex, I've never liked Alex and with a full cast already maybe he should get caught in the next natural disaster to hit Seattle. Maybe they can trade him to Private Practice and get Addison back? I'll write a letter.

The Addison case is about a baby who might crush its own heart or something; I don't think it's that important. Izzie is pissed at George for having friends outside of her and is extra pissed that Lexi is his new best friend. How long before they hook up? Two more episodes. Bailey lets Addison in on the current relationship status of the hospital staff, awkward again. Alex, Bailey, Addison, and Hahn will be tag teaming the baby surgery with no Christina involved. Remember the sexual tension between Derek and Mark? That is pretty much doubled with Callie and Hahn (this is a slash fiction writer's dream show).

Oh, and Meredith's patient has gone blind. This episode is jumping around mad style. He isn't particularly happy about this new development and is yelling at Derek while simultaneously trying to set him up with his wife. The wife is slowly falling apart with the thought that her husband will die without any sort of human dignity left.

Addison and Derek have a nice scene together where she asks him what he is doing with his life, not being with Meredith and all that good stuff. Alex and Eva meanwhile get to yell at each other cuz he is still all about hating himself. They do have a hospital psychiatrist right? Alex treats the father of the pregnant woman like crap, which is the most transparent projecting of his emotions this show has ever seen. Christina confronts Callie about Hahn, and then Addison asks Callie if she's seeing Hahn. Though she refers to it as "speaking the vagina monologues." Callie laughs uncontrollably and says that she is a huge fan of penis. I love when guest stars shake things up.

At lunch Christina asks her friends about their thought and feelings, and Izzie chimes in that Eva is getting a bit Fatal Attraction-y. Christina seems to care about the situation, and everyone is creeped out. Callie asks Mer and Christina if people think they're a couple. Meredith gives the best response ever which is, "No because we screw boys like whores on tequila." I love Meredith the best.

Izzie sees a couple who end up pregnant, but the wife wants an abortion. Turns out she is HIV positive and the condom broke. The husband is fine, but they can't bring a baby into the world. Yeah, this downer came out of nowhere.

Callie asks Hahn to put Christina on her surgery and then gets weirded out when Hahn says only if Callie buys the drinks that night. Addison tells a defeated Izzie to become a fighter again and let the HIV woman know that she doesn't need to terminate her pregnancy. Derek speaks with tumor guy who reveals to him that the last thing in the world he wants is to leave his wife alone. Meredith overhears Derek, and tumor guy and then reports to her psychiatrist that Derek is emotionally involved and stuff.

Addison asks who the McRebound is during surgery and is informed that the new girlfriend is the woman to her right. What is this, awkward Addison moment number 12? HIV woman yells at Izzie for suggesting that she keep the baby and requests a new doctor, while tumor guy tries his hardest to comfort his wife as he heads off to surgery. In the baby surgery, after delivery complications begin to ensue.

Meanwhile George tells Izzie that she can't hang with his friends because she is their boss and they don't like her. She proceeds to take the interns to HIV woman to tell her that there is a 98 percent chance the baby will be born healthy and that she has a chance to be a mother. The husband thanks Izzie and the interns gain a new respect for their boss.

Hahn has Christina massage the heart of the baby while they wait for Addison to finish on the mother but doesn't compliment her work. I see what she's doing, teaching her to be a great heart doctor in the hospital and showing her that you can be a functional human outside of the hospital. Lessons all around people, lessons all around. Alex pretty much cries during the surgery, another lesson. Meredith and Derek lose their first clinical trial patient. This episode is tugging at every heart string I have.

Addison finally gets Bailey to admit that her life has fallen to pieces, but Bailey doesn't have time to fall apart so she wants Addison to leave her alone. Meredith witnesses Derek tell tumor guy's wife about his death and tells him that she got her hopes up on the surgery. They shake hands and act like semi-normal colleagues. Addison then tells the chief she's glad she came back because it reminded her that it was right to leave.

The best scene ever has arrived. Derek gets in the elevator with Meredith, Rose, and Addison. Mark gets on at the next floor to make it even more uncomfortable for Derek. Callie gets her own awkward moment at Joe's Bar when Hahn brushes an eyelash away from her. She overcompensates by dancing with Mark. Christina shows up and accuses Hahn of racism, but Hahn tells Addison her problem is that Yang reminds her of herself. Who didn't see that coming? Hahn also finally reveals that she does have a thing for Callie, which makes her about a million times more awesome. Callie leaves the bar with Mark, and Addison tells Meredith to go after Derek. We end with Izzie being told her patient wasn't pregnant and Alex finally being civil to Eva.

I want it to be next week right now!
