Gossip Girl is one of the most talked about new shows on the CW Network this year. The show focuses on the lives of socialite teenagers on New York's Upper East Side who attend elite prep schools, go to fabulous benefits and look like they waltzed off the pages of Vogue. It may be the irresistible storyline or the preteen following it had from the books by Cecily von Ziegesar that attracted the viewing audience, but the guilty pleasure of tuning in each week is also satisfying after seeing all the characters' trendy fashions.

The show stars six of the hottest young actors who aren't afraid to step over the fashion line both on and off the show. "Gossip Girl" stars Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald, Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey, Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass, Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen, Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf, and Taylor Momsen as Jenny Humphrey. The stylists on the set must have a blast putting together the cutting edge new fashions and do a great job! They are always o top of all the trends and love to start groundbreaking new ones!

Each character has their own signature style and they all know how to wear it well! They even spice up their prep school uniforms with loosened ties, jumpers, or knee high socks. Anyone who can make a stiff prep school uniform look good deserves a fashion high five!

Blair wears a headband almost every show and has a very classy style like Audrey Hepburn. During school she spices up her uniform with opaque tights and classic Mary Jane shoes or opts for a casual, conservative turtleneck. By night she looks amazing in even the simplest of dresses. Whether it's a short navy high neck dress with ruffled sleeves or a satin brown strapless dress, she limits her accessories like with a single chunky ring which completes the outfits and makes her look like a brunette babe!

Serena is very girly and is extremely sexy without even trying. She could wear a potato sack and look hot! At school she loves to leave her shirt un-tucked for a messy look, pairing it with a cardigan, necktie and bright socks with slouch boots. Another signature look for Serena is a pair of shorts over opaque tights and flats. She loves to get dressed up and show off her sexy side as well with short simple dresses paired with heels.

Jenny has an innocent style with a sexy edge. She's younger than the rest and looks up to Serena especially as her fashion icon. At school, Jenny loves to match her white collared shirt with a plaid jumper and either tights or high tube socks with flats. After school she can pull off the short flirty dress with a simple pair of stilettos and fit in with the rest of the socialites.

Nate is the ideal preppy jock. He looks hot in his uniform as is but he does like to un-tuck his collared shirt for extra sex appeal. He can throw on a sweater or button down shirt any time of the day and look like he belongs on the catwalk. Chuck is comparable to the Hugh Hefner of prep school. He loves to dress like he is the wealthiest entrepreneur suiting up for a weekend on the yacht with his wife, Buffy. He is one of the only guys who can pull off a skinny tie, velvet pants or a bow tie.

Dan gives off a sexy artsy vibe and doesn't know how cute he really is. His style is very simple as he normally wears a button down shirt and light jacket. He is also seen sporting a sweater vest or suit vest frequently to show off his artsy rock star side.

Although most of the characters on "Gossip Girl" are rich Upper East Side Manhattan kids who are spoiled and can afford to look good, there are plenty of ways to knockoff the styles from the show for a bargain! Alternative stores to their favorite store, Bendel's on 5th Ave, are Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, H&M and Old Navy. All these stores have the latest trends at a fraction of the price.
