A Toby Keith concert in Afghanistan was interrupted by mortar fire on Thursday night. The country star was performing for troops as part of a two-week United Service Organizations (USO) tour when bombs started raining down near the Kandahar Base.

The singer/songwriter took shelter with soldiers near the performance site, according to CMT.com.

After the bombing, Keith took the stage again to complete his set and then signed autographs for the troops.

The latest tour of duty is Keith's sixth USO mission.
