Movie star and activist Sean Penn has become the latest name added to the Coachella Festival bill. Two weeks after Prince was given the headlining slot on Saturday night to boost ticket sales, actor/director Penn has been given a 15-minute slot directly before My Morning Jacket's performance on Sunday evening.
According to reports, Penn is hoping to recruit 300 Coachella revelers to join him on a protest in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Penn will reportedly set off from the California desert on Monday morning on what has been dubbed online the Dirty Hands Caravan.
Penn and his activists will protest the state of America at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 4 before returning to Los Angeles.
