Rapper C-Murder has had his request to travel out of the state of Louisiana denied while he awaits a retrial on a second-degree murder charge. The troubled star - real name Corey Miller - is currently under house arrest in his New Orleans home after being released on $500,000 bail in March 2006.
The 36-year-old brother of hip-hop star Master P stands accused of fatally shooting teenager Steve Thomas outside a local nightclub in 2002.
Miller's 2003 conviction was thrown out in 2006 when prosecutors were found guilty of withholding criminal background information on witnesses.
Earlier this month, Miller's lawyers entered a court motion asking for permission to travel to Jackson, Mississippi to attend a book rally that is being sponsored by his company TRU Publishing.
However, the request was turned down by a Louisiana judge on Tuesday, reports AllHipHop.com.
His retrial is due to start in June.
