Mia FarrowActress Mia Farrow has hit out at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) - accusing the board of ignoring China's support for Sudan. The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and human rights activist insists the Committee is brushing the crisis in Sudan's Darfur region to one side, stating they are "putting aside their humanitarian instincts".

The Rosemary's Baby star, who has set up a group called Dream For Darfur, insists the IOC have failed the Olympic Charter and the war-stricken region, accusing them of "foul-play". The campaigning actress has often spoke out about boycotting the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing due to China's trade links with Sudan - where more than 200,000 people have been killed and more than two million turned into refugees by famine and war since civil war broke out in 2003.

However the Committee has denied the accusations, insisting they don't follow any political agendas. A representative for the IOC, says, "The IOC is a sporting organization with no political mandates to instruct countries how to behave."

Earlier this year, Farrow praised director Steven Spielberg's decision to leave his position as artistic director for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing after months of urging the moviemaker to step-down from the role, calling the move "an extraordinary act of conscience".
