Next year's Oscar nominations will be announced on a Thursday, not the traditional Tuesday-- so as not to clash with the presidential inauguration. The Academy Award nods were due to be read on January 20 but Oscar bosses have been forced to move the date because it fell on the new U.S. President's first day in office. Next year's Oscars will take place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on February 22.
