Notes & Quotes: Brinkley On Johansson, 'Monk' Tribute, Dafoe's Deaths & More
Next year's Oscar nominations will be announced on a Thursday, not the traditional Tuesday-- so as not to clash with the presidential inauguration. The Academy Award nods were due to be read on January 20 but Oscar bosses have been forced to move the date because it fell on the new U.S. President's first day in office. Next year's Oscars will take place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on February 22.
"If I could have one thing, I'd have Scarlett Johansson's skin for a day. This generation of girls grew up protecting their skin from day one." Model Christie Brinkley.
"If we ever needed someone to help us feel better, it's now." Tony Shalhoub and the cast of TV series Monk pay tribute to late actor Stanley Kamel with a full page ad in trade paper Daily Variety. Kamel, who died of a suspected heart attack last week, played a psychiatrist on the show.
The Last Temptation Of Christ star Willem Dafoe has died on the big screen more times than any other living actor.
