Roger EbertBeloved film critic Roger Ebert is returning to work following his battle with cancer. The 65-year-old Chicago, Illinois-based critic will start writing movie reviews later this month after his annual film festival, which begins on April 23.

The film expert, who is now cancer-free, is unable to return to his TV show "Ebert & Roeper" just yet because he's still unable to speak following surgery.

He says, "I still have all my other abilities, including the love of viewing movies and writing about them."

Ebert's been operated on four times - in 2002, doctors removed a malignant tumor from his thyroid gland; in 2003, he underwent surgery on his salivary gland; in 2006, a cancerous growth was removed from the same area; and in January, he was readmitted to the hospital for further surgery.
