Star Wars' Darth Vader has topped a new internet poll of the Most Vile Movie Villains. The all-black bad guy beat Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and James Mason's turn as Phillip Vandamm in 1959's North By Northwest to land a number one on EW.com's new countdown.

The top five are:
