Rockers Fall Out Boy were forced to postpone their ambitious around-the-world-in-a-day tour yesterday-- because of bad weather. The group had planned to include a show in Antarctica on its seven-continent record-breaking trek, but all flights there were canceled on Tuesday, due to weather conditions.
Front man Patrick Stump said, "We were sort of aware that this might happen, but, to be honest, we're just hoping some other band doesn't slip in by boat or something and set the world record right under our noses."
Fall Out Boy are now hoping to have another go at the seven-continent feat today - if weather conditions permit.
And when the band eventually gets to Antarctica, bassist Pete Wentz already has some idea of what the frozen continent will be like: "It'll be like Hoth, that ice planet in Star Wars."
He's also hoping to have his photo taken with his arm around a penguin.
