Bosses at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles have banned laptops and cellphones from the hospital after staff were caught snooping in Britney Spears' records.
Hospital officials have already fired 12 people and suspended six after discovering as many as 20 staff members had attempted to defy medical center rules and obtain confidential information about Spears, a recent patient.
Now all computers and cell phones have been banned from the establishment "to enhance patient privacy and confidentiality", reports the Los Angeles Times newspaper.
The pop star was hospitalized in the facility's psychiatric ward at the beginning of last month.
